Tanning oils that are designed for outdoor use shouldn’t be used when you visit indoor tanning beds and booths. They don’t provide the ingredients you need so speed up tanning, enhance the color, or maintain your tan. There are different types of indoor tanning lotions that you can choose from. Make sure you read the labels on any products. You will find most of them are specified for either indoor or outdoor tanning use but not for both of them. While you may think you are saving money to use oil for both indoor and outdoor tanning, the truth is you will simply be throwing away the money and the time you spend on your indoor tanning sessions with such a product. The film that develops with many of the oils will actually prevent you from getting the indoor tanning results you are looking for. To help reduce the effects from the UV rays while tanning indoors, you need to use the products that provide moisturizer. You also need to use those that have the right skin care ingredients. Many of the ingredients in products marketed for indoor tanning offer a way for your skin to absorb more of the UV rays. This will help individuals tan easier than if they were to do it outdoors. Yet using a tanning oil designed for outdoors isn’t going to allow this to happen. In fact, it can adversely affect your skin. Your indoor tanning results will be much better if you are able to keep your skin healthy. If you use tanning oils that are specifically for outdoor use they may stain the tanning equipment. Most tanning salons have policies concerning this that you need to read over before you sign up. These types of policies may require you to pay for the cost of the damage to the tanning equipment and/or you may no longer be allowed to use the tanning facility.
