How to Use Stand Up Tanning Booths

A twist to the traditional tanning bed where you lie down is the stand up tanning booths the many tanning salons now offer. A tanning booth is shaped like a capsule and you walk into it and remain standing during the tanning session. There is generally a fan on the ceiling that keeps you cool during the tanning process.

Many people prefer a stand up tanning booth because they feel more comfortable spreading their body out in right way to get a good, even tan all over. They are also more sanitary as the only part of you that touches an area that someone else was on is your feet. If this bothers you, there is the option of wearing thin slippers or sandals in the stand up tanning booth.

Another reason why stand up tanning booths are so popular is because they allow you to get a faster tan than a traditional tanning bed. You can cut your tanning time in half and get the same great results.

For the best results, exfoliate the night before you enter a stand up tanning booth. This will remove all the dead skin from your body and allow the tan to penetrate deeper faster. You also need to keep your skin moisturized. Apply a good moisturizer in the morning before you use the stand up tanning booth and again after you complete your session.

Some people believe that you get the best results using a stand up tanning booth on a daily basis. However, you will get a much better tan if you wait at least 48 hours in between sessions. You should never remain in a stand up tanning booth for more than 20 minutes at a time.

If you want a great looking tan in less time, then consider using a stand up tanning booth. You will get the same results as a tanning bed in less time per session and you will require fewer sessions.
